Rhino Blinds Ground Blinds and Hunting Chairs
Rhino Blinds makes pop-up ground blinds for hunters, most of them hub-style, plus a short line of hunting chairs and stools to sit in them. The models differ in four ways: floor size, height, how much of the wall you can see through, and the door. Here's the thing: pick the blind by the room you need inside it, then by the windows. The camo pattern comes last. (Plain and simple. A blind is a room you shoot out of. Measure it like a room.)

How alternatives are pickedSame type of gear from other brands, closest first: same price tier as Rhino Blinds’s own listings at our last check, then the most maker-published specs. No popularity, no paid placement.
What Rhino Blinds makes for hunters
On this site, Rhino Blinds covers two product types: ground blinds and hunting chairs. The blinds are the main line. The chairs, stools and heated seat pads are there to go inside them.
FeraDyne Outdoors sells the brand under a Rhino Outdoors page with three categories: hunting blinds, chairs, and replacement parts. Tree stands are a separate brand on the same site, Rhino Treestands, which I'll get to below.
The grid above shows the Rhino listings on Amazon right now. There are only a couple, so the theme adds "Alternatives to Rhino Blinds" below them: hub blinds from other brands, picked by type. The grid changes as listings come and go, so I'll write about the families and what separates them, not about how many are listed this week.
Rule of thumb for this page: the model number is a size, more or less. Read it the way you'd read a lumber tag, then check the measurements anyway.
How a Rhino hub blind is built
Most Rhino blinds are hub-style pop-ups. A hub is the plastic joint in the middle of each wall where the flexible rods meet. You push the hubs out and the walls snap tight. The maker's RB24 and Low Hub Pro pages call theirs a 5-hub design: four walls and a roof.
What you get with most of them, per the maker's pages:
- A backpack-style carry bag: the blind folds flat into it
- Ground stakes and rope tie-downs: in the box, which is the right place for them
- Silent slide windows: openings you adjust without a zipper
- Brush-in capability: loops or straps for tucking in branches and grass
The brand page also points to quiet entry and exit. Door styles vary by model: the RB24 lists a zipper entry door, and the full-door models use a walk-through door with one long zipper.
Lineup notes: Rhino ground blinds by family
See-through mesh blinds: the 180, 270 and RB24
This is the group the brand is known for, and it's what "Rhino 180 blind" searches are after. The idea is mesh you can see through from the inside. The maker says hunters can see out but game can't see in.
What separates them, per the maker:
- Rhino 180: two full panels of see-through mesh, 180 degrees of view, silent slide windows
- Rhino 270: see-through mesh on more of the walls, 270 degrees, 150-denier fabric
- RB24 and RB24 Pro: see-through mesh window panels and dividers, a zipper door and a 5-hub frame, with the Pro in a heavier 600-denier fabric
The Rhino 180 page lists a 58 by 58-inch floor, a 66-inch height, 75 inches across at the hubs, and 14.3 pounds. It says it holds three hunters comfortably. The RB24 page gives the same floor and height at 13.9 pounds, with 150-denier body fabric and a blackened interior.
That blackened interior is worth matching. Union Sportsmen's Alliance's ground blind guide says to wear dark layers on top inside a blind. A blaze-orange hoodie in a black room is a lighthouse. (Danny owns one. Danny sits by the window.)
Low-hub blinds: more headroom where you sit
The Low Hub models are what the maker calls a low hub design. The maker lists two:
- Low Hub See-Through: 300-denier fabric, silent slide windows
- Low Hub Pro Full Door: 600-denier fabric and a full-size walk-through zipper door
The Low Hub Pro page gives a 68 by 68-inch floor, a 55 by 55-inch ceiling, a 75-inch height and 20 pounds. The floor is wider than the ceiling, so the room is where your chair and elbows are. It's also the biggest and heaviest of the Rhino blinds whose pages I read. The maker says it fits up to three hunters with room for gear, tripods and cameras. Here's the thing: a heavier blind is a fine trade if it stays put for the season. It's a poor one if you carry it half a mile twice a day.
Compact and budget hub blinds
At the small end, the maker lists the Rhino 50 and 75, the RB102 (sold as a 2-person blind), the RB140 (3-person), and hub-style R90 and R95 models. Their pages carry fewer specs than the see-through models, so compare footprint and height in the grid before you pick.
The R100 in the grid is a 2-person hub pop-up, listed at 49.5 by 49.5 inches and 65 inches tall on its Amazon listing. That's a smaller floor than the 180. Two people fit. Two people and a crossbow at full width is a different conversation.
Odd shapes: the triangle and the Cut-N-Run
Two Rhino blinds aren't square hubs. The R85 is a 3-sided triangle blind, per its name on the maker's collection page. The Small Cut-N-Run is a smaller blind on the same collection page. The maker's listings for both are short, so the grid and the listing are where to check sizes.
Older model numbers and replacement parts
You'll see searches for the Rhino 150, 200, 300 and XP 101. On the maker's site today, the older numbers show up mainly as parts: replacement shoot-through window mesh for the R100, R300 and R500, mesh for the R600, and replacement rods sold separately for 2019-and-earlier and 2020-and-newer blinds. There's also a roof support rod pack for the R75 and an 8-pack ground stake kit.
If you own an older Rhino, check the year before you order a rod. The maker sells two versions for a reason.
Rhino hunting chairs and stools
The chair line is short. Per the maker's chair collection:
- Swivel Hunting Stool: swivel seat, adjustable legs
- Padded Swivel Hunting Chair: padded seat on a metal frame
- Textilene Swivel Hunting Chair: Textilene fabric, metal frame, adjustable armrests
- Deluxe Swivel Hunting Chair: swivel seat and adjustable legs
- Foldable Hunting Chair: folding frame with a back rest and a storage pouch
- Turkey Chair: a low chair for turkey setups
- Heated Cushion and Heated Chair Pad: each with a power bank; the brand page lists three heat settings for the cushion
None of the chair listings I read give a weight capacity, so I can't compare them on that. If capacity matters to you, and it should, find the number on the chair's own listing or label before you buy.
Swivel seats matter in a blind because you turn your body, not the blind. Adjustable legs matter because floors in the woods are never level. (Mine has a wood shim under one leg. I didn't say it was elegant.) More on the type is on the hunting blind chair page and the swivel hunting chair page.
How to choose within the Rhino lineup
Start with the floor
Count the people, add the gear, read the floor size. A 58-inch floor holds three hunters on the maker's word. A 49.5-inch floor holds two. If you shoot a bow, Jess's rule is to measure the bow at full draw, not hanging on the wall, and make sure the limbs clear the walls from your chair.
Then the height
The maker's heights run from the mid-60s in inches on the 180 and RB24 up to 75 on the Low Hub Pro. Standing to shoot a compound needs more height than sitting does. If you sit on a chair and shoot from it, a 66-inch blind is a lot of room. If you stand, check that your top limb won't touch the roof at full draw.
Then see-through walls or plain windows
See-through mesh lets you watch more of the woods without opening anything. Union Sportsmen's Alliance's ground blind guide advises keeping openings to a minimum, using the mesh screens for concealment, and opening only what your shot needs. An uncovered opening is a dark hole a deer can notice. Stay back from the windows until you shoot.
Then the door and the fabric
Full doors make it easier to get in with a pack and a chair. Denier is a measure of how thick the fabric's threads are; the maker's pages run from 150 to 600. The 600-denier Low Hub Pro is also the heaviest blind in the pages I read, at 20 pounds, though it's the biggest too. Pick by how often you'll carry it.
Setup, staking and care
My one opinion on this page: stake the blind every time, even for a two-hour sit. Union Sportsmen's Alliance says to secure a blind with stakes or ties whenever weather is possible. A pop-up blind is light fabric on a spring frame, which makes it a sail with a door. "Only overnight" is how blinds end up somewhere new. The stakes came with the blind for a reason.
Brush it in, too. The same guide recommends adding cut branches and grass around the blind so it blends in. The Rhino brand page lists brush-in capability on its blinds, so the loops are there for it.
Two safety lines from NSSF's Let's Go Hunting site:
- Orange: a blind can hide you from other hunters too. Put blaze orange on the outside where it's required or wise, on all sides if you can
- Heaters: propane heaters and stoves can build up carbon monoxide in a closed blind. Keep windows cracked for fresh air whenever one is running
Hunter orange rules vary by state. Check your state wildlife agency.
The maker's pages I read don't give drying or storage instructions. My shop-teacher rule applies anyway: a blind that goes in the bag wet comes out of the bag smelling like it. Dry it before it goes in the cabin for the winter.
Rhino Treestands: a separate brand
"Rhino tree stand" and "Rhino ladder stand" are common searches. On the FeraDyne site, Rhino Treestands has its own brand page. It shows a 16-foot single ladder stand with a mesh flip-up seat and backrest, padded arm rests and a padded flip-up shooting rail, plus categories for treestands and towers. No Rhino tree stands are among the Amazon listings on this page.
If you climb, wear a full-body harness and stay connected from the moment your boots leave the ground. Ladder stands from other brands are on the ladder stand page.
Rhino Blinds vs Double Bull
Both are ground blind names, and that's where the overlap is easiest to state. Rhino's maker site lists hub-style blinds from small compact models to see-through mesh and low-hub blinds, plus chairs and replacement parts.
Primos's site currently lists one Double Bull model: the Double Bull Raised Hunting Ground Blind. It's sold as a kit, with the blind, a chair and stakes held together in one open bag system, and windows the maker says are designed for filming and for bowhunting. Its page doesn't list floor size or height, so compare the exact models when you have both sets of numbers. Double Bull doesn't have a brand page on this site.
Who's behind Rhino Blinds
Rhino Blinds are sold on the site of FeraDyne Outdoors, which lists an address in Superior, Wisconsin. FeraDyne's Rhino Outdoors page groups the blinds, chairs and parts, and Rhino Treestands sits on its own page. I couldn't verify a founding year for the brand or where the blinds are made, so I've left those out.
Floor, height, windows. In that order. And put the stakes in the bag before you put the blind in the truck.

Questions about Rhino Blinds
Are Rhino blinds good?
What the maker states is checkable: its blind pages list floor size, height, weight, fabric denier, door type and window system for each model, from 150-denier see-through blinds to a 600-denier low-hub blind with a full-size door. Whether one suits you depends on how many people sit in it, what you shoot and how far you carry it. Compare those specs in the grid.
Who makes Rhino blinds?
Rhino blinds are sold on the site of FeraDyne Outdoors, a company in Superior, Wisconsin, under its Rhino Outdoors brand page. The same site lists Rhino Treestands as a separate brand. I couldn't verify a founding year or where the blinds are made, so those are left out.
Does Rhino make tree stands?
The FeraDyne site has a separate Rhino Treestands page, which shows a 16-foot single ladder stand with a mesh flip-up seat, padded arm rests and a flip-up shooting rail. No Rhino tree stands are in the Amazon listings on this page. Ladder stands from other brands are on the ladder stand page.
What is the difference between the Rhino 180 and a regular hub blind?
The Rhino 180's maker page describes two full panels of see-through mesh, which give 180 degrees of view: you can see out, and the maker says game can't see in. A regular hub blind has solid walls and you see out only through open windows. The 180 also lists silent slide windows for the openings.
What warranty do Rhino blinds have?
The maker's product pages show a limited warranty notice, but FeraDyne's brand warranty page doesn't list Rhino terms. Ask FeraDyne customer service for the terms that apply to your blind before you count on coverage, and keep your proof of purchase.
Where can I buy Rhino blinds?
The product grid on this page links to the Rhino listings on Amazon US, with alternatives from other brands below them. FeraDyne also sells the blinds, chairs and replacement parts on its own site. Check the model number, camo pattern and floor size in the listing before you order.
